Updated Inactive Google Accounts Policy

Starting December 1, 2023, Google will delete idle accounts and all content in them.

How this affects you:

  • The above changes will not affect you unless your Google Account has been inactive for 2 consecutive years or has not been used to sign in to any Google service.
  • Although the above changes take effect today, Google will not start forcibly deleting accounts until December 2023 at the earliest.
  • If your account is considered inactive,At least 8 months before taking any action or deleting any content from this account, Google will send a separate email to your current email address and to your recovery email address (if you have provided one).Send a few email reminders.
  • Once a Google Account is deleted, its corresponding The address can no longer be used to create a new Google Account.

How to keep your account active?

The easiest way to keep your Google Account active is to make sure you haven't been logged in to it in the past 2 years. If you've logged into your Google Account within the past 2 years, it will be considered active and will not be deleted.
