Browser UA (User Agent)

The browser identifier (UA) allows the server to identify the operating system and version, CPU type, browser and version, browser rendering engine, browser language, and browser plug-in used by the client, thereby determining whether the user is browsing on a computer or a mobile phone, allowing the web page to automatically adapt.

What is UA?

The so-called UA (User Agent) originally refers to the browser informing the website administrator of the types and frameworks supported by the browser, so that the website administrator can send pages to the browser in the supported mode structure and present them to the user. Today, in order to present the best page effect to users and to make different browsers display the same website page, the website administrator obtains the user's system information through the browser, including the hardware platform, system software, application software and user's personal preferences, and then parses it through the server and sends it to the browser in the page type suitable for the user.

The browser identifier (UA) allows the server to identify the operating system and version, CPU type, browser and version, browser rendering engine, browser language, and browser plug-in used by the client, thereby determining whether the user is browsing on a computer or a mobile phone, allowing the web page to automatically adapt.

It can be understood that by identifying the UA mark, the website can adjust the layout of the web page according to the corresponding format, so that users can have a better browsing experience. Currently, UA analysis and monitoring can be completed for the following systems: Windows 7, Windows 10, Mac OS X Lion, Ubuntu 14.04; browsers: all brands and series.

Analysis platform: Windows 7 64-bit; Internet Explorer 10, Internet Explorer 11, and Microsoft Edge are all Windows 10 64-bit.
