xftp does not support Chinese directories

This is because the default encoding format is UTF-8, and Chinese directory names may contain characters in GBK or other encoding formats. When Xftp tries to display or operate these directories, garbled or unrecognizable characters may appear due to incompatible encodings.

If you are using Xftp and encounter the problem that it does not support Chinese directories, this may be due to one or more of the following reasons:

  1. Software version problem: Make sure you are using the latest version of Xftp. Sometimes older versions of the software may have bugs or limitations that may have been fixed in newer versions.

  2. Operating System Settings: Check your operating system language settings and regional settings. Sometimes the operating system language setting can affect the behavior of the application. Try setting the operating system language to Chinese and see if it improves things.

  3. File system encoding issues: Make sure your file system supports Chinese file and directory names, and that the file system encoding is set correctly. Most modern operating systems and file systems support Unicode encoding, but sometimes additional configuration or settings may be required.

  4. Software configuration issues: In Xftp, there may be some configuration options to set the encoding and character set for file transfers. Check the settings of Xftp to make sure they are set correctly to support Chinese characters.

  5. Try Other Software:If Xftp cannot meet your needs, you can try using other FTP client software. Some software may have better support for Chinese, or provide more configuration options to solve this problem.
