Google Chrome for developers has a built-in AI model and functional experience
The developer-only version of Google Chrome is designed for the open web and is compatible with Windows 11/10 64-bit. It has a built-in Gemini AI large model, allowing you to quickly experience the free Gemini AI.

Chrome 127 and above integrate Gemini: local AI function
Google integrates the Gemini large model into the Chrome browser, bringing a new free local AI experience:
- Completely free and unlimited use
- Support offline operation, get rid of network dependence
- Functions include image recognition, natural language processing, intelligent recommendation, etc.
- Launched as an experimental feature in Chrome 127 dev version
- Requires simple configuration to enable
Note that the developer version of Google Chrome and the regular version of Google Chrome can be installed at the same time without any installation conflicts.
After downloading and installing, log in to a Google account on the developer version of the browser
Enable device model in Chrome dev
Open a new tab in the developer browser and enter the following in the address bar:
chrome://flags/#optimization-guide-on-device-model
After it's turned on, click Restart below.
Turn on Gemini Nano
In the address bar, enter:
chrome://flags/#prompt-api-for-gemini-nano
After the experimental feature is set up successfully, the browser will automatically download the device model and required components.
You can enter in the address bar:
chrome://components/
View the download status of the model:
Find Optimization Guide On Device Model and click Check for Updates. If you don't see this option, wait a few minutes and then open this page again to check. If you still don't see it, try changing your browser language to English US.
