Oracle Cloud（Oracle Oracle Cloud is a cloud computing service provided by Oracle Corporation. The data centers managed by Oracle Corporation provide servers, storage, networks, applications and services to users through the global network.

Oracle Cloud provides Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS, released on October 20, 2016), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Data as a Service (DaaS). You can create up to 2 instances, each with a public IP (the IP region is limited to the region selected when applying). The free instance configuration is as follows:

1/8 OCPU and 1 GB memory
20GB storage
The official bandwidth of each instance is 480 mbps (actually measured is 50 mbps)
The total outbound traffic per month is 10T (shared by all projects in the account, inbound traffic is free)
Select one of the Oracle Linux, CentOS, or Ubuntu Linux system images.

Oracle adopts an even distribution of resources. One old hen is shared by 8 people, which is 1/8 ocpu. The total bandwidth is 480, which is divided by 8, which is about 60mbps in theory and about 50mbps in reality.

Preparations before registering with Oracle Cloud

Understand what isOracle VPSNow, we will move on to the next step of preparation. Before applying for registration, you need to make the following preparations.

An email address, either Microsoft or Google will do. If you don’t have either, don’t use domestic QQ email and 163 email, as you will not receive the verification email.
A foreign currency credit card, VISA or Master, that can deduct fees in US dollars.
A mobile phone number is required. If you are a domestic user, you can register using your domestic mobile phone number.

After meeting the above three requirements, proceed to the registration stage.

Start filling in the registration information below. Note: Please use pinyin instead of Chinese for all the Chinese parts of the registration below.

Here you need to fill in your real name and the email address where you can receive emails. The name you fill in should correspond to the name on your credit card. After filling in the form, click Verify My Email.

After clicking click here, you will be redirected to the Oracle Cloud account information filling page. Continue to fill in the registration information.

Fill in your login password. The password must contain at least 8 characters, including 1 lowercase letter, 1 uppercase letter, 1 number and 1 special character. The password cannot exceed 40 characters and cannot contain the user's first name, last name, email address, space or ` ~ < > \ character. You do not need to fill in the company name here. The cloud account name is assigned by the system by default, and you can also customize an account name.

Next, select the Oracle Cloud server location.

Due to high demand for Arm Ampere A1 compute capabilities in US West (Phoenix), US East (Ashburn), Germany Central (Frankfurt), Korea Central (Seoul), Japan Central (Osaka), Japan East (Tokyo), and Korea North (Chuncheon) regions, availability of A1 instances is limited in these regions. If you plan to create A1 instances, we recommend that you choose a different region as your home region.

We do not accept virtual or prepaid cards. We only accept credit and debit cards.
The credit or debit card billing address should match the address on file with your bank. Please enter a valid and complete address.

What should I do if Oracle Cloud registration fails?

Error processing transaction
Unable to complete your registration. Common registration errors include: (a) using a prepaid card. Oracle only accepts credit and debit cards; (b) intentionally or accidentally obscuring a person's location or identity information; or (c) entering incomplete or inaccurate account information. If any of these situations occur to you, please try again. Otherwise, please contact Oracle Customer Service .

Solution: Generally, this is because the deduction failed and the information is incorrect. If the deduction failed, first check whether the overseas payment security verification service of the credit card has been turned off to ensure that the deduction is successful. If the information is incorrect, it is whether the previous information is true. Do not fill in the relevant information randomly.
