How to Install Downloader on Firestick/Fire TV
The following steps will show you how to install the Downloader app on Firestick, Fire TV, Fire TV Cube, and any Fire TV device.
With Amazon's releaseNew Firestick interface, many Firestick/Fire TV users wonder how to install Downloader using this new interface.
If your Firestick/Fire TV has not yet been updated to the new interface, see the instructions for the old Fire TV interface below.
1.On your device’s home screen, hover your mouse over the Find button and click the Search box.
2.Search for and select Downloader.
3.Select Downloader App.
4.Click Download.
5.Wait for the app to install.
6.Once the application has finished installing, click Open.
7.Return to the Home screen and open Settings.
8.Click My Fire TV.
9.Select Developer options*
Important Tips:If you don't see Developer Options on your screen, see the note below.
10.Click Install unknown apps.
11.Find the Downloader app and click on it.
12.This will turn on unknown sources for the Downloader app. This will enable sideloading on your device.
Developer options are not available
If you are unable to find the Developer options in settings, follow the instructions below to enable it using the Downloader app.
1.Hover over the Settings icon and clickMy Fire TV.
2.Clickabout.

3.Hover your mouse overOn Fire TV Stick, then click the OK button on your remote control7 times, you can become a developer.
4.Click the back button on your remote and you’ll notice that Developer Options now appears in My Fire TV.
You can now install unknown apps using the Downloader app.
How to install Downloader on Android TV
In this example, I am usingNVIDIA Shield, but this process works on any device running the Android TV operating system.
This also includesMECOOL Boxes, Tivo Stream 4K, Dynalink, Mi Boxes, etc.

1. From the home screen, select Google Play shop.
2. Click the Search icon.
3. Type "Downloader" and click Search.
4. Select the AFTVnews downloader.
5. Click Install.
6. Once the installation is complete, return to the Home screen.
7. Click Settings.
8. Scroll down and click Device Preferences.
9. Click Security and Restrictions.
10. Click Unknown Sources.
11. On the Install Unknown Applications screen, locate and click Download Programs.
12. That's it! The Downloader app will now indicate that sideloading is allowed on your device.
How to install Downloader on stock Android
If you are using a generic Android TV box, e.g.X96 Max, Beelink GT-King, T95q or other boxes, please follow the instructions below.

We must first use a web browser, e.g. Google Chrome,TV Broor any browser that allows downloads.

1. Go to Settings on your Android TV Box and click Security & Restrictions.
2. Select Unknown sources.
3. Click Google Chrome or whatever browser you use to allow installation of unknown applications. Make sure your file browser is allowed as well.
4. Launch your web browser and click the search bar.
5. Enter the following URL – “troypoint.com/dl” , and then click Go.
6. If prompted with this message, click Continue.
7. Select Allow.
8. Select Download.
9. You will see a message at the bottom saying "Downloader apk downloaded". Return to the home screen.
10. Select FileBrowser or the name of any default file manager.
11. Click Local Disk.
12. Locate and click the Downloads folder.
13. Find the latest APK file for Downloader and click on it.
14. Click Install.
15. Click Finish.
16. Return to the home screen and click Settings.
17. Click Security and Restrictions.
18. Select Unknown sources.
19. Find and click Downloaders to allow installation of unknown applications.
20. That's it! Downloader will now say that sideloading is allowed on your device.
How to install Downloader on Android phones and tablets
The following procedure will show you how to install Downloader on Android phones and tablets.
In this example, we are usingSamsung Galaxy S6 Tablet, but these same steps apply to any Android tablet or mobile device.
1. Open the Settings menu on your Android tablet or mobile device.
2. Click Apps.
3. Select Chrome or another browser of your choice.
4. Scroll down and click Install unknown apps.
5. Click the toggle switch to enable unknown sources from this app.
6. Return to the home screen and launch the browser.
7. Type in the search bar troypoint.com/dl and click Go.
8. Click OK.
9. Wait for the file to install and click Open.
10. Click Install.
11. Click Finish.
12. Return to app settings to find Downloader and enable the Unknown sources toggle.
13. Launch the Downloader application and click Allow when prompted.
14. Click OK. You can now sideload apps on your Android phone or tablet!
Google TV Instructions

1. Click Applications in the main menu.
2. Click Search Applications.
3. Type "downloader" in the search bar and click the search icon.
4. Select AFTVnews Downloader under Applications.
5. Click Install.
6. Once the app is installed, return to the Home screen.
7. Click Settings in the right menu.
8. Click System.
9. Click About.
10. Click "Android TV OS Build" about 7 times.
11. You will eventually see a message: "You are now a developer!"
12. Click the back button on your remote until you get to the Settings menu. Click Apps.
13. Click Security and Restrictions.
14. Select Unknown sources.
15. Turn on Unknown Sources for the Downloader app. Now you can sideload apps on your Chromecast using Google TV!
Downloader App Features
AFTVnewsis the original creator of the Downloader app and has made it very successful till date.
In 2019, TROYPOINT purchased the Downloader app from AFTVNews, along with a number of other affiliated apps.

Use browser tabs to navigate on any website. Best of all, you don't need a keyboard as the application has a built-in mouse for easy scrolling and selection.
This method works really well when the URL is not a direct link to the APK and we have to download the file from a web page.
Another key feature is the Favorites tab, which lets you bookmark any pages you visit frequently and access them with a single click.
The settings include options to enable automatic APK installation, JavaScript, etc. We recommend leaving these settings at their default values in most cases.
The Files tab will compile any APK files you install. We recommend clearing this when installing APK files.
