What is DNS?
, the domain name system, which converts human-readable domain names (for example, www.uzbox.com) into machine-readable IP addresses (for example, 192.168.8.1).
DNS basics
All computers on the Internet, from your smartphone or laptop to the servers that serve up content for massive retail websites, find each other and communicate with each other by using numbers. These numbers are called IP addresses. When you open your web browser and go to a website, you don't have to remember and enter long numbers. Instead, enter the domain name (such as example.com) and end in the correct position.
The DNS service is a globally distributed service that combines human-readable names such as http://www.example.com) is converted into a numeric IP address (such as 192.0.2.1) that computers use to connect to each other. The Internet's DNS system works similarly to a phone book, managing the mapping between names and numbers. DNS servers translate name requests into IP addresses and control which servers end users access when they enter a domain name into a Web browser. These requests are called queries.
Type of DNS service
Authoritative DNS: An authoritative DNS service that provides an update mechanism for developers to manage their public DNS names. It then responds to DNS queries, converting domain names into IP addresses so computers can communicate with each other. Authoritative DNS has the final authority for a domain and is responsible for providing responses to IP address information from recursive DNS servers.
Recursive DNS: Clients usually do not query authoritative DNS services directly. Instead, it usually connects to another type of DNS service called a resolver, or recursive DNS service. A recursive DNS service is like a hotel doorman: although it does not have any DNS records of its own, it acts as an intermediary program that obtains DNS information on your behalf. Recursive DNS responds to DNS queries by providing source or IP information if it has a DNS reference that has been cached or stored for a period of time. If not, it passes the query to one or more authoritative DNS servers to find the information.

1.Google Public DNS
Google Public DNS is a free domain name resolution service (DNS) provided by Google on December 5, 2009.
Google Public DNS is a public free domain name resolution service launched by Google for the public. Google said it would launchFree DNSThe main purpose of the service is to improve the Internet browsing speed and improve the browsing experience of Internet users. For this reason, Google does not use widely used DNS programs such as BIND, but uses self-developed software to improve DNS server technology. On the first-tier computer cluster, the caching DNS server balances the load to improve performance while ensuring the security and accuracy of DNS services.
The following are the DNS addresses for this service:
- IPv4 address:

Google's free DNS servers are often ranked among the best, they're easy to remember, and they're accessible to everyone. It even offers impressive speeds.
Google DNS's main advantage comes from their reputation as a company. Google earns a lot of money every year and has the ability to provide the most stable and resilient DNS servers. The only problem with this DNS server is that they store information about your operations that they can share with third parties if the U.S. government decides it needs the information. However, for users who are not worried about this issue, Google is generally considered the best DNS server.

OpenDNS is a free domain name resolution service provider (DNS) and has anti-phishing, content control software and other functions.
OpenDNS provides DNS solutions for individuals and businesses. Users can choose to use OpenDNS services or use the DNS services provided by local ISPs. Placing server groups in strategic places and using large domain name caches can allow DNS queries to be completed much faster, thus speeding up page retrieval. DNS query results are sometimes cached by the local operating system or application, so the increase in speed may not be reflected in every query, but the increase in query speed for results that are not in the local cache is obvious. Other features include an anti-phishing filter. By collecting a list of malicious websites, OpenDNS will block these malicious websites when users access them through their services. OpenDNS recently launched an anti-phishing service (PhishTank) so that users around the world can report and view untrustworthy phishing websites.

4. Baidu Public DNS
Faster and more stable: Which is the fastest and most stable website in China? That's right, www.baidu.com. Baidu Public DNS has the same basic network, infrastructure and system architecture as Baidu Search. More importantly, we are a group of people.
Pure without hijacking:As the largest traffic company in China, Baidu is the biggest victim of DNS hijacking. Baidu's purpose of building a public DNS is to provide a pure and safe traffic environment for the majority of netizens. On the other hand, it also wants to use the power of its products to limit hijacking chaos.
Security:Another additional feature of Baidu Public DNS is security protection. Relying on Baidu's safe search technology, if the website you visit has risks of viruses or Trojans, we will intercept and prompt you in real time to effectively ensure users' online safety.
CDN affinity:Baidu Public DNS has recursive exit nodes across the country. When a query request misses the main cache, we will dispatch the request to the recursive node closest to the user for further query. Therefore, it will not affect the CDN scheduling progress. On the other hand, we are actively implementing edns-client-subnet. This technology will greatly improve CDN scheduling accuracy, and I believe CDN vendors will like it.
